Jonathan,

Thanks for stopping by!

My comment wasn't really aimed at any specific flaw that I've found. Jamie and I have both been professional developers and we tend to subscribe to the "when it's ready for prime time you call it 1.0" way of thinking. I understand that others may look at that differently.

I'll be happy to flex the software a little bit over the next few days and send you feedback.

As a user and developer of BPBible, I'm encouraged by your comments. While I think it's fair to say that we try to go beyond what CrossWire provides (in areas like gospel harmonies and topic management), a key reason for using it was so that a large number of useful resources could be made available, and the list continues to grow.

With regard to our version number, different people have different expectations of a version number (from those who say they won't touch or recommend it until it reaches version 1 as it's obviously not intended for mainstream use to those who say "isn't it great how much it does when it isn't even at version 1?"). I think there are still a number of things that need doing before I am happy with it being called version 1, though I use it daily. However, I'm curious to know what you think needs doing before it's ready for a version 1 or some similar milestone.

Thanks again!

I'm not sure the full extent of embedding capability on wordpress.com.

I might write a couple of articles on these questions in the short-term. I'll post links here if I do. :)

Thanks for your work on this...here's the site I made http://fccwray.wordpress.com.
My main questions have to do with embedding things in Wordpress.com like the sermon channel and the Picasa photo albums. Would love to learn about those tricks!

Writing a guide isn't hard -- but making it 'easy to follow' has presented more of a challenge!

It's classified right now as a 'work in progress.'

More to follow...

Hi Darrell-

I really like what you did with the church site. I'm interested in trying to do the same for our small church. I would love to get my hands on that easy-to-follow guide!

Thanks.

Very nice and good project!
What about numbering the download-files with the actual version to avoid confusion and making clear which is which?

I consider yours a very smart slection of very useful software!

I'm not a computer-expert and nevertheless I want to make a proposal:

From time to time I use a "cleaning"-programm, removing "windows-garbage" ;-) from my computer. It is called "Sweepi" and found at www.yooapps.ch
After running this my pc is often faster than before. If you don't have a very powerful computer this could be helpful and I think you don't yet have selected such a kind of program.

Probably in addition an application like Ad-Aware 2007 (www.lavasoft.com) could also be useful.

Amateurish greetings :-)
